Mason Massey win the 2008 President's Award from Ed Clark and the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Mason is the 1st "kid" to win the award. Congratulations to Mason, his family and the entire Mason Racin Team.

Mason was named the 2008 Young Gun Driver of the Year by the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame.

Mason was in Cordele , GA on December 5^th and 6^th at the Watermelon Capital Speedway to do testing in his Legend car. Testing went very well for him and the car. He will continue to test at several different tracks around the South including Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord , NC and the Huntsville , Alabama Speedway . Mason will turn 12 next month and he will then be eligible to race the Legends car.

On Sunday, December 7^th, Mason received an award from the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame. He received the award for the “Driver of the Year”. Mason had such a good year in 2008, that he was nominated out of all the young drivers in the state of Georgia .

Anyone who would like to watch Mason race can now tune in to the Speed Channel on Sundays at noon for a review of Mason’s success during the 2008 season. For the next nine Sundays, Speed will be broadcasting the Lowes Motor Speedway Summer Shootout.

Mason was named one of the Top 10 Prospects to Watch and a Top Performer at the Lowe's Motor Speedway Summer Shootout Series by David Smith Motorsports.com.

Mason makes his You-Tube debut taking the checkered flag at the Speedrome in Indianapolis, IN.

At the banquet, Mason was awarded the “Most Improved Driver” of the year. He also got a 3rd place trophy for the Summer Series (out of 25 drivers) finishing just four points out of first. Mason also placed 2nd in the “Hard Charger Award”. This award is given to the driver who passes the most cars in the 10-week series under green flag conditions.

Massey Wins Track Championship

Mason Massey, age 10 of Winston, clinched the Track Championship at the famed Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee. The championship at the historic track is a great accomplishment considering the likes of Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Sterling Marlin and other NASCAR stars have won championships at the same track.

Massey's consistency led to a strong points season at the track. He had 4 wins, 3 second place finishes and also had fastest qualifying laps 4 separate times.

At the post-season banquet in Nashville, Massey will be presented with a championship guitar which has been a Nashville racing tradition for many years.
